this little story was told by the father of the groom. never take the smallest wedding detail for granted :)
"First thing, every morning, I used to sit on the doorstep of a different home…and I was welcomed in. In the evening they would gently place me back outside. I would return home each night…to end up on someone else's doorway the next morning.
Suddenly all that changed. I was abandoned in a dirt pile where I lay quietly for a hundred years. I gave up hope of ever seeing any of the people that I had grown to love. It was very quiet…and very lonely.
Then, one day, this young boy stumbled across me and some of my fellow friends. He put us into five gallon pails and brought us to his home. He thought we may have some worth…or value. He cleaned us up, he was proud of us.
And although I had feared that my useful days were over, I find myself…today…sitting as a guest at the table of honor. As that little boy is marrying the sweetest and prettiest girl I've ever seen. This is truly the happiest day in the life of a milk bottle."
